Enjoy the facilities at the City Botanic Gardens, including a range of picnic locations and The Gardens Club in the historic curator’s residence.
The open grassed picnic area, with a sheltered pavilion, is at the rear of the City Botanic Gardens opposite QUT and has a carpark available.
Picnic tables and seats in shaded areas are located throughout the gardens and along the riverbank. Popular picnic locations include the Royal Palms Lawn, and areas around the playground.
The City Gardens Cafe has reopened in the historic curator’s residence and is now called The Gardens Club. It is operated by the Wise Foundation, who distributes funds to the community and organisations in need. Currently, coffee, food and drinks are available from The Gardens Club from 8am – 4pm daily.
